GTF2E2-ACE Fusion FISH Probe
The GTF2E2-ACE Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GTF2E2 and ACE genes. The fusion of the GTF2E2 and ACE genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ACE Gene Summary
This gene encodes an enzyme involved in catalyzing the conversion of angiotensin I into a physiologically active peptide angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasopressor and aldosterone-stimulating peptide that controls blood pressure and fluid-electrolyte balance. This enzyme plays a key role in the renin-angiotensin system. Many studies have associated the presence or absence of a 287 bp Alu repeat element in this gene with the levels of circulating enzyme or cardiovascular pathophysiologies. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified, and two most abundant spliced variants encode the somatic form and the testicular form, respectively, that are equally active. Gene Name: Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme
Chromosome: CHR17: 61554421 -61575741
Locus: 17q23.3
GTF2E2 Gene Summary
The general transcription factor IIE (TFIIE) is part of the RNA polymerase II transcription initiation complex, recruiting TFIIH and being essential for promoter clearance by RNA polymerase II. TFIIE is a heterodimer (and sometimes heterotetramer) of alpha and beta subunits. The protein encoded by this gene represents the beta subunit of TFIIE. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]
Gene Name: General Transcription Factor IIE Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR8: 30436030 -30515738
Locus: 8p12
