GRIP1-XCL1 Fusion FISH Probe
The GRIP1-XCL1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GRIP1 and XCL1 genes. The fusion of the GRIP1 and XCL1 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

XCL1 Gene Summary
This antimicrobial gene encodes a member of the chemokine superfamily. Chemokines function in inflammatory and immunological responses, inducing leukocyte migration and activation. The encoded protein is a member of the C-chemokine subfamily, retaining only two of four cysteines conserved in other chemokines, and is thought to be specifically chemotactic for T cells. This gene and a closely related family member are located on the long arm of chromosome 1. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]
Gene Name: X-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 168545710 -168551315
Locus: 1q24.2
GRIP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the glutamate receptor interacting protein family. The encoded scaffold protein binds to and mediates the trafficking and membrane organization of a number of transmembrane proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
Gene Name: Glutamate Receptor Interacting Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR12: 66741210 -67072925
Locus: 12q14.3
