GNPTG-RAB40C Fusion FISH Probe
The GNPTG-RAB40C Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GNPTG and RAB40C genes. The fusion of the GNPTG and RAB40C genes has been associated with Uterine Carcinosarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

RAB40C Gene Summary
The RAB40C, Member RAS Oncogene Family (RAB40C) gene is located on chr16 :639356-679273 at 16p13.3.
Gene Name: RAB40C, Member RAS Oncogene Family
Chromosome: CHR16: 639356 -679273
Locus: 16p13.3
GNPTG Gene Summary
This gene encodes the gamma sunbunit of the N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphotransferase complex. This hexameric complex, composed of alpha, beta and gamma subunits, catalyzes the first step in synthesis of a mannose 6-phosphate lysosomal recognition marker. This enzyme complex is necessary for targeting of lysosomal hydrolases to the lysosome. Mutations in the gene encoding the gamma subunit have been associated with mucolipidosis IIIC, also known as mucolipidosis III gamma.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Gene Name: N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphate Transferase Gamma Subunit
Chromosome: CHR16: 1401899 -1413352
Locus: 16p13.3
