GNPTAB-TRHDE Fusion FISH Probe
The GNPTAB-TRHDE Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GNPTAB and TRHDE genes. The fusion of the GNPTAB and TRHDE genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

TRHDE Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the peptidase M1 family. The encoded protein is an extracellular peptidase that specifically cleaves and inactivates the neuropeptide thyrotropin-releasing hormone.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2008]
Gene Name: Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone Degrading Enzyme
Chromosome: CHR12: 72666528 -73059422
Locus: 12q21.1
GNPTAB Gene Summary
This gene encodes two of three subunit types of the membrane-bound enzyme N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphotransferase, a heterohexameric complex composed of two alpha, two beta, and two gamma subunits. The encoded protein is proteolytically cleaved at the Lys928-Asp929 bond to yield mature alpha and beta polypeptides while the gamma subunits are the product of a distinct gene (GeneID 84572). In the Golgi apparatus, the heterohexameric complex catalyzes the first step in the synthesis of mannose 6-phosphate recognition markers on certain oligosaccharides of newly synthesized lysosomal enzymes. These recognition markers are essential for appropriate trafficking of lysosomal enzymes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with both mucolipidosis II and mucolipidosis IIIA.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
Gene Name: N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphate Transferase Alpha And Beta Subunits
Chromosome: CHR12: 102139274 -102224645
Locus: 12q23.2
