GNA11-TMCO3 Fusion FISH Probe
The GNA11-TMCO3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GNA11 and TMCO3 genes. The fusion of the GNA11 and TMCO3 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

GNA11 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins), which function as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. G proteins are composed of 3 units: alpha, beta and gamma. This gene encodes one of the alpha subunits (subunit alpha-11). Mutations in this gene have been associated with hypocalciuric hypercalcemia type II (HHC2) and hypocalcemia dominant 2 (HYPOC2). Patients with HHC2 and HYPOC2 exhibit decreased or increased sensitivity, respectively, to changes in extracellular calcium concentrations. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]
Gene Name: G Protein Subunit Alpha 11
Chromosome: CHR19: 3094407 -3121454
Locus: 19p13.3
TMCO3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the monovalent cation:proton antiporter 2 (CPA2) family of transporter proteins. Members of this family typically couple the export of monovalent cations, such as potassium or sodium, to the import of protons across cellular membranes. Mutations in this gene have been identified in patients with a rare inherited vision defect, cornea guttata with anterior polar cataract. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017]
Gene Name: Transmembrane And Coiled-coil Domains 3
Chromosome: CHR13: 114145307 -114204544
Locus: 13q34
