GLIS3-CTNNA2 Fusion FISH Probe
The GLIS3-CTNNA2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GLIS3 and CTNNA2 genes. The fusion of the GLIS3 and CTNNA2 genes has been associated with Head And Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma . These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CTNNA2 Gene Summary
The Catenin Alpha 2 (CTNNA2) gene is located on chr2 :79740059-80875988 at 2p12.
Gene Name: Catenin Alpha 2
Chromosome: CHR2: 79740059 -80875988
Locus: 2p12
GLIS3 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the GLI-similar zinc finger protein family and encodes a nuclear protein with five C2H2-type zinc finger domains. This protein functions as both a repressor and activator of transcription and is specifically involved in the development of pancreatic beta cells, the thyroid, eye, liver and kidney. Mutations in this gene have been associated with neonatal diabetes and congenital hypothyroidism (NDH). Alternatively spliced variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described but the full-length nature of only two have been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: GLIS Family Zinc Finger 3
Chromosome: CHR9: 3824127 -4300035
Locus: 9p24.2
