GLCE-NOX5 Fusion FISH Probe
The GLCE-NOX5 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GLCE and NOX5 genes. The fusion of the GLCE and NOX5 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

GLCE Gene Summary
The Glucuronic Acid Epimerase (GLCE) gene is located on chr15 :69452972-69564544 at 15q23.
Gene Name: Glucuronic Acid Epimerase
Chromosome: CHR15: 69452972 -69564544
Locus: 15q23
NOX5 Gene Summary
This gene is predominantly expressed in the testis and lymphocyte-rich areas of spleen and lymph nodes. It encodes a calcium-dependen NADPH oxidase that generates superoxide, and functions as a calcium-dependent proton channel that may regulate redox-dependent processes in lymphocytes and spermatozoa. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
Gene Name: NADPH Oxidase 5
Chromosome: CHR15: 69222838 -69349501
Locus: 15q23
