GLCCI1-DGKB Fusion FISH Probe

The GLCCI1-DGKB Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GLCCI1 and DGKB genes. The fusion of the GLCCI1 and DGKB genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

DGKB Gene Summary

Diacylglycerol kinases (DGKs) are regulators of the intracellular concentration of the second messenger diacylglycerol (DAG) and thus play a key role in cellular processes. Nine mammalian isotypes have been identified, which are encoded by separate genes. Mammalian DGK isozymes contain a conserved catalytic (kinase) domain and a cysteine-rich domain (CRD). The protein encoded by this gene is a diacylglycerol kinase, beta isotype. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Gene Name: Diacylglycerol Kinase Beta

Chromosome: CHR7: 14184673 -14881075

Locus: 7p21.2

GLCCI1 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a protein of unknown function. Expression of this gene is induced by glucocorticoids and may be an early marker for glucocorticoid-induced apoptosis. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene are associated with a decreased response to inhaled glucocorticoids in asthmatic patients. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]

Gene Name: Glucocorticoid Induced 1

Chromosome: CHR7: 8008422 -8128709

Locus: 7p21.3
