GALNT10-IQCA1 Fusion FISH Probe
The GALNT10-IQCA1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GALNT10 and IQCA1 genes. The fusion of the GALNT10 and IQCA1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

GALNT10 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the GalNAc polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferases. These enzymes catalyze the first step in the synthesis of mucin-type oligosaccharides. These proteins transfer GalNAc from UDP-GalNAc to either serine or threonine residues of polypeptide acceptors. The protein encoded by this locus may have increased catalytic activity toward glycosylated peptides compared to activity toward non-glycosylated peptides.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2010]
Gene Name: Polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 10
Chromosome: CHR5: 153570294 -153800543
Locus: 5q33.2
IQCA1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the ATPases Associated with diverse cellular Activities (AAA) superfamily. Members of this superfamily, found in all organisms, participate in a large number of cellular processes and contain the ATPase module consisting of an alpha-beta-alpha core domain and the Walker A and B motifs of the P-loop NTPases. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Gene Name: IQ Motif Containing With AAA Domain 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 237232793 -237416092
Locus: 2q37.2-q37.3
