GABRA3-DIAPH2 Fusion FISH Probe
The GABRA3-DIAPH2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GABRA3 and DIAPH2 genes. The fusion of the GABRA3 and DIAPH2 genes has been associated with Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

DIAPH2 Gene Summary
The product of this gene belongs to the diaphanous subfamily of the formin homology family of proteins. This gene may play a role in the development and normal function of the ovaries. Defects in this gene have been linked to premature ovarian failure 2. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Diaphanous Related Formin 2
Chromosome: CHRX: 95939661 -96855597
Locus: Xq21.33
GABRA3 Gene Summary
GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian brain where it acts at GABA-A receptors, which are ligand-gated chloride channels. Chloride conductance of these channels can be modulated by agents such as benzodiazepines that bind to the GABA-A receptor. At least 16 distinct subunits of GABA-A receptors have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Gamma-aminobutyric Acid Type A Receptor Alpha3 Subunit
Chromosome: CHRX: 151335633 -151619831
Locus: Xq28
