FKBP10-KRT40 Fusion FISH Probe
The FKBP10-KRT40 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the FKBP10 and KRT40 genes. The fusion of the FKBP10 and KRT40 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FKBP10 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the FKBP-type peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase (PPIase) family. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and acts as a molecular chaperone. Alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been reported, but their biological validity has not been determined.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
Gene Name: FK506 Binding Protein 10
Chromosome: CHR17: 39968961 -39979469
Locus: 17q21.2
KRT40 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the type I (acidic) keratin family, which belongs to the superfamily of intermediate filament (IF) proteins. Keratins are heteropolymeric structural proteins which form the intermediate filament. These filaments, along with actin microfilaments and microtubules, compose the cytoskeleton of epithelial cells. The type I keratin genes are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2009]
Gene Name: Keratin 40
Chromosome: CHR17: 39133967 -39143387
Locus: 17q21.2
