FGF3-LGR4 Fusion FISH Probe
The FGF3-LGR4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the FGF3 and LGR4 genes. The fusion of the FGF3 and LGR4 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FGF3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities and are involved in a variety of biological processes including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This gene was identified by its similarity with mouse fgf3/int-2, a proto-oncogene activated in virally induced mammary tumors in the mouse. Frequent amplification of this gene has been found in human tumors, which may be important for neoplastic transformation and tumor progression. Studies of the similar genes in mouse and chicken suggested the role in inner ear formation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Fibroblast Growth Factor 3
Chromosome: CHR11: 69624735 -69634192
Locus: 11q13.3
LGR4 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a G-protein coupled receptor that binds R-spondins and activates the Wnt signaling pathway. This Wnt signaling pathway activation is necessary for proper development of many organs of the body. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]
Gene Name: Leucine Rich Repeat Containing G Protein-coupled Receptor 4
Chromosome: CHR11: 27387507 -27494334
