FBXO28-LYZL2 Fusion FISH Probe
The FBXO28-LYZL2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the FBXO28 and LYZL2 genes. The fusion of the FBXO28 and LYZL2 genes has been associated with Head And Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma . These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

FBXO28 Gene Summary
Members of the F-box protein family, such as FBXO28, are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. SCF complexes, formed by SKP1 (MIM 601434), cullin (see CUL1; MIM 603134), and F-box proteins, act as protein-ubiquitin ligases. F-box proteins interact with SKP1 through the F box, and they interact with ubiquitination targets through other protein interaction domains (Jin et al., 2004 [PubMed 15520277]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Gene Name: F-box Protein 28
Chromosome: CHR1: 224301790 -224349749
Locus: 1q42.11
LYZL2 Gene Summary
Lysozymes (see LYZ; MIM 153450), especially C-type lysozymes, are well-recognized bacteriolytic factors widely distributed in the animal kingdom and play a mainly protective role in host defense. LYZL2 is a member of a family of lysozyme-like genes (Zhang et al., 2005 [PubMed 16014814]).[supplied by OMIM, Apr 2009]
Gene Name: Lysozyme Like 2
Chromosome: CHR10: 30900707 -30918647
Locus: 10p11.23
