ETS1-UBE2V2 Fusion FISH Probe
The ETS1-UBE2V2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ETS1 and UBE2V2 genes. The fusion of the ETS1 and UBE2V2 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ETS1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the ETS family of transcription factors, which are defined by the presence of a conserved ETS DNA-binding domain that recognizes the core consensus DNA sequence GGAA/T in target genes. These proteins function either as transcriptional activators or repressors of numerous genes, and are involved in stem cell development, cell senescence and death, and tumorigenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]
Gene Name: ETS Proto-oncogene 1, Transcription Factor
Chromosome: CHR11: 128328655 -128457453
Locus: 11q24.3
UBE2V2 Gene Summary
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 variant proteins constitute a distinct subfamily within the E2 protein family. They have sequence similarity to other ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes but lack the conserved cysteine residue that is critical for the catalytic activity of E2s. The protein encoded by this gene also shares homology with ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 variant 1 and yeast MMS2 gene product. It may be involved in the differentiation of monocytes and enterocytes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Ubiquitin Conjugating Enzyme E2 V2
Chromosome: CHR8: 48920994 -48974454
Locus: 8q11.21
