EPC1-DIP2C Fusion FISH Probe
The EPC1-DIP2C Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the EPC1 and DIP2C genes. The fusion of the EPC1 and DIP2C genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

DIP2C Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the disco-interacting protein homolog 2 family. The protein shares strong similarity with a Drosophila protein which interacts with the transcription factor disco and is expressed in the nervous system. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]
Gene Name: Disco Interacting Protein 2 Homolog C
Chromosome: CHR10: 320129 -735608
Locus: 10p15.3
EPC1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the polycomb group (PcG) family. The encoded protein is a component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex and can act as both a transcriptional activator and repressor. The encoded protein has been linked to apoptosis, DNA repair, skeletal muscle differentiation, gene silencing, and adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2012]
Gene Name: Enhancer Of Polycomb Homolog 1
Chromosome: CHR10: 32557858 -32636113
Locus: 10p11.22
