ECE2-HTR3C Fusion FISH Probe
The ECE2-HTR3C Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ECE2 and HTR3C genes. The fusion of the ECE2 and HTR3C genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ECE2 Gene Summary
The Endothelin Converting Enzyme 2 (ECE2) gene is located on chr3 :183967444-184010819 at 3q27.1.
Gene Name: Endothelin Converting Enzyme 2
Chromosome: CHR3: 183967444 -184010819
Locus: 3q27.1
HTR3C Gene Summary
The product of this gene belongs to the ligand-gated ion channel receptor superfamily. This gene encodes subunit C of the type 3 receptor for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. This receptor causes fast, depolarizing responses in neurons after activation. Genes encoding subunits C, D and E form a cluster on chromosome 3. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: 5-hydroxytryptamine Receptor 3C
Chromosome: CHR3: 183770834 -183778461
Locus: 3q27.1
