DYNC1H1-SIAE Fusion FISH Probe
The DYNC1H1-SIAE Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DYNC1H1 and SIAE genes. The fusion of the DYNC1H1 and SIAE genes has been associated with Thyroid Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

DYNC1H1 Gene Summary
Dyneins are a group of microtubule-activated ATPases that function as molecular motors. They are divided into two subgroups of axonemal and cytoplasmic dyneins. The cytoplasmic dyneins function in intracellular motility, including retrograde axonal transport, protein sorting, organelle movement, and spindle dynamics. Molecules of conventional cytoplasmic dynein are comprised of 2 heavy chain polypeptides and a number of intermediate and light chains. This gene encodes a member of the cytoplasmic dynein heavy chain family. Gene Name: Dynein Cytoplasmic 1 Heavy Chain 1
Chromosome: CHR14: 102430864 -102517135
Locus: 14q32.31
SIAE Gene Summary
This gene encodes an enzyme which removes 9-O-acetylation modifications from sialic acids. Mutations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to autoimmune disease 6. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms, found either in the cytosol or in the lysosome, have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
Gene Name: Sialic Acid Acetylesterase
Chromosome: CHR11: 124505684 -124546199
Locus: 11q24.2
