DRAM2-TTF2 Fusion FISH Probe
The DRAM2-TTF2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DRAM2 and TTF2 genes. The fusion of the DRAM2 and TTF2 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

TTF2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the SWI2/SNF2 family of proteins, which play a critical role in altering protein-DNA interactions. The encoded protein has been shown to have dsDNA-dependent ATPase activity and RNA polymerase II termination activity. This protein interacts with cell division cycle 5-like, associates with human splicing complexes, and plays a role in pre-mRNA splicing. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Transcription Termination Factor 2
Chromosome: CHR1: 117602948 -117645491
Locus: 1p13.1
DRAM2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene binds microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 and is required for autophagy. Defects in this gene are a cause of retinal dystrophy. In addition, two microRNAs (microRNA 125b-1 and microRNA 144) can bind to the mRNA of this gene and produce the disease state. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017]
Gene Name: DNA Damage Regulated Autophagy Modulator 2
Chromosome: CHR1: 111659953 -111682838
Locus: 1p13.3
