DPP4-PDK1 Fusion FISH Probe
The DPP4-PDK1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DPP4 and PDK1 genes. The fusion of the DPP4 and PDK1 genes has been associated with Kidney Renal Papillary Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

DPP4 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is identical to adenosine deaminase complexing protein-2, and to the T-cell activation antigen CD26. It is an intrinsic membrane glycoprotein and a serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Dipeptidyl Peptidase 4
Chromosome: CHR2: 162848754 -162931052
Locus: 2q24.2
PDK1 Gene Summary
Pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) is a mitochondrial multienzyme complex that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate and is one of the major enzymes responsible for the regulation of homeostasis of carbohydrate fuels in mammals. The enzymatic activity is regulated by a phosphorylation/dephosphorylation cycle. Phosphorylation of PDH by a specific pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase (PDK) results in inactivation. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2013]
Gene Name: Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Kinase 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 173420778 -173463862
Locus: 2q31.1
