DPP3-FKBP2 Fusion FISH Probe
The DPP3-FKBP2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DPP3 and FKBP2 genes. The fusion of the DPP3 and FKBP2 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FKBP2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the immunophilin protein family, which play a role in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking. This encoded protein is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. It is thought to function as an ER chaperone and may also act as a component of membrane cytoskeletal scaffolds. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2008]
Gene Name: FK506 Binding Protein 2
Chromosome: CHR11: 64008412 -64011607
Locus: 11q13.1
DPP3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the M49 family of metallopeptidases. This cytoplasmic protein binds a single zinc ion with its zinc-binding motif (HELLGH) and has post-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase activity, cleaving Xaa-Pro dipeptides from the N-termini of proteins. Increased activity of this protein is associated with endometrial and ovarian cancers. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]
Gene Name: Dipeptidyl Peptidase 3
Chromosome: CHR11: 66247879 -66277130
Locus: 11q13.2
