DOCK4-TPH2 Fusion FISH Probe
The DOCK4-TPH2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DOCK4 and TPH2 genes. The fusion of the DOCK4 and TPH2 genes has been associated with Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Endocervical Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

DOCK4 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the dedicator of cytokinesis (DOCK) family and encodes a protein with a DHR-1 (CZH-1) domain, a DHR-2 (CZH-2) domain and an SH3 domain. This membrane-associated, cytoplasmic protein functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor and is involved in regulation of adherens junctions between cells. Mutations in this gene have been associated with ovarian, prostate, glioma, and colorectal cancers. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described, but only one has been fully characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Dedicator Of Cytokinesis 4
Chromosome: CHR7: 111366163 -111846462
Locus: 7q31.1
TPH2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the pterin-dependent aromatic acid hydroxylase family. The encoded protein catalyzes the first and rate limiting step in the biosynthesis of serotonin, an important hormone and neurotransmitter. Mutations in this gene may be associated with psychiatric diseases such as bipolar affective disorder and major depression. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Name: Tryptophan Hydroxylase 2
Chromosome: CHR12: 72332625 -72426221
Locus: 12q21.1
