DNMT3B-DUSP15 Fusion FISH Probe
The DNMT3B-DUSP15 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DNMT3B and DUSP15 genes. The fusion of the DNMT3B and DUSP15 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

DNMT3B Gene Summary
CpG methylation is an epigenetic modification that is important for embryonic development, imprinting, and X-chromosome inactivation. Studies in mice have demonstrated that DNA methylation is required for mammalian development. This gene encodes a DNA methyltransferase which is thought to function in de novo methylation, rather than maintenance methylation. The protein localizes primarily to the nucleus and its expression is developmentally regulated. Mutations in this gene cause the immunodeficiency-centromeric instability-facial anomalies (ICF) syndrome. Eight alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. The full length sequences of variants 4 and 5 have not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, May 2011]
Gene Name: DNA Methyltransferase 3 Beta
Chromosome: CHR20: 31350190 -31397162
Locus: 20q11.21
DUSP15 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene has both protein-tyrosine phophatase activity and serine/threonine-specific phosphatase activity, and therefore is known as a dual specificity phosphatase. This protein may function in the differentiation of oligodendrocytes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Name: Dual Specificity Phosphatase 15
Chromosome: CHR20: 30448869 -30458479
Locus: 20q11.21
