DMXL1-ARHGAP15 Fusion FISH Probe
The DMXL1-ARHGAP15 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DMXL1 and ARHGAP15 genes. The fusion of the DMXL1 and ARHGAP15 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

DMXL1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the WD repeat superfamily of proteins, which have regulatory functions. This gene is expressed in many tissue types including several types of eye tissue, and it has been associated with ocular phenotypes. In addition, it is upregulated in cultured cells that overexpress growth factor independence 1B, a transcription factor that is essential for hematopoietic cell development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2014]

ARHGAP15 Gene Summary
RHO GTPases (see ARHA; MIM 165390) regulate diverse biologic processes, and their activity is regulated by RHO GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs), such as ARHGAP15 (Seoh et al., 2003 [PubMed 12650940]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
