DLGAP4-RGMA Fusion FISH Probe
The DLGAP4-RGMA Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DLGAP4 and RGMA genes. The fusion of the DLGAP4 and RGMA genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

DLGAP4 Gene Summary
The product of this gene is a membrane-associated guanylate kinase found at the postsynaptic density in neuronal cells. It is a signaling molecule that can interact with potassium channels and receptors, as well as other signaling molecules. The protein encoded by this gene can interact with PSD-95 through its guanylate kinase domain and may be involved in clustering PSD-95 in the postsynaptic density region. The encoded protein is one of at least four similar proteins that have been found. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Gene Name: DLG Associated Protein 4
Chromosome: CHR20: 34995443 -35157040
Locus: 20q11.23
RGMA Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the repulsive guidance molecule family. The encoded protein is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored glycoprotein that functions as an axon guidance protein in the developing and adult central nervous system. This protein may also function as a tumor suppressor in some cancers. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]
Gene Name: Repulsive Guidance Molecule Family Member A
