DIS3L2-DNM1 Fusion FISH Probe
The DIS3L2-DNM1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DIS3L2 and DNM1 genes. The fusion of the DIS3L2 and DNM1 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

DNM1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the dynamin subfamily of GTP-binding proteins. The encoded protein possesses unique mechanochemical properties used to tubulate and sever membranes, and is involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and other vesicular trafficking processes. Actin and other cytoskeletal proteins act as binding partners for the encoded protein, which can also self-assemble leading to stimulation of GTPase activity. More than sixty highly conserved copies of the 3' region of this gene are found elsewhere in the genome, particularly on chromosomes Y and 15. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Dynamin 1
Chromosome: CHR9: 130965662 -131017527
Locus: 9q34.11
DIS3L2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is similar in sequence to 3'/5' exonucleolytic subunits of the RNA exosome. The exosome is a large multimeric ribonucleotide complex responsible for degrading various RNA substrates. Several transcript variants, some protein-coding and some not, have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2012]
Gene Name: DIS3 Like 3'-5' Exoribonuclease 2
Chromosome: CHR2: 232826292 -233201908
Locus: 2q37.1
