DIRAS2-GNA14 Fusion FISH Probe

The DIRAS2-GNA14 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DIRAS2 and GNA14 genes. The fusion of the DIRAS2 and GNA14 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

GNA14 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the guanine nucleotide-binding, or G protein family. G proteins are heterotrimers consisting of alpha, beta and gamma subunits. The encoded protein is a member of the alpha family of G proteins, more specifically the alpha q subfamily of G proteins. The encoded protein may play a role in pertussis-toxin resistant activation of phospholipase C-beta and its downstream effectors.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]

Gene Name: G Protein Subunit Alpha 14

Chromosome: CHR9: 80037994 -80263232

Locus: 9q21.2

DIRAS2 Gene Summary

DIRAS2 belongs to a distinct branch of the functionally diverse Ras (see HRAS; MIM 190020) superfamily of monomeric GTPases.[supplied by OMIM, Apr 2004]

Gene Name: DIRAS Family GTPase 2

Chromosome: CHR9: 93372113 -93405108

Locus: 9q22.2
