DHX9-PRELID1 Fusion FISH Probe
The DHX9-PRELID1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DHX9 and PRELID1 genes. The fusion of the DHX9 and PRELID1 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

DHX9 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the DEAH-containing family of RNA helicases. The encoded protein is an enzyme that catalyzes the ATP-dependent unwinding of double-stranded RNA and DNA-RNA complexes. This protein localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm and functions as a transcriptional regulator. This protein may also be involved in the expression and nuclear export of retroviral RNAs. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 11 and 13.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Gene Name: DExH-box Helicase 9
Chromosome: CHR1: 182808438 -182857117
Locus: 1q25.3
PRELID1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the late embryogenesis abundant motif-containing protein family. The encoded protein is localized to mitochondria and may function as a cytoprotectant by regulating cell death and differentiation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Several related pseudogenes have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2012]
Gene Name: PRELI Domain Containing 1
Chromosome: CHR5: 176730834 -176733950
Locus: 5q35.3
