DGKD-NDUFA10 Fusion FISH Probe
The DGKD-NDUFA10 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DGKD and NDUFA10 genes. The fusion of the DGKD and NDUFA10 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NDUFA10 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a component of 42 kDa complex I, the first enzyme complex in the electron transport chain of mitochondria. This protein has NADH dehydrogenase activity and oxidoreductase activity. It transfers electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. A mutation in this gene was found in an individual with Leigh syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2016]
Gene Name: NADH:ubiquinone Oxidoreductase Subunit A10
Chromosome: CHR2: 240896788 -240964819
Locus: 2q37.3
DGKD Gene Summary
This gene encodes a cytoplasmic enzyme that phosphorylates diacylglycerol to produce phosphatidic acid. Diacylglycerol and phosphatidic acid are two lipids that act as second messengers in signaling cascades. Their cellular concentrations are regulated by the encoded protein, and so it is thought to play an important role in cellular signal transduction. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Diacylglycerol Kinase Delta
Chromosome: CHR2: 234263152 -234380743
Locus: 2q37.1
