DDX60L-DSCAM Fusion FISH Probe
The DDX60L-DSCAM Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DDX60L and DSCAM genes. The fusion of the DDX60L and DSCAM genes has been associated with Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

DSCAM Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell adhesion molecules (Ig-CAMs), and is involved in human central and peripheral nervous system development. This gene is a candidate for Down syndrome and congenital heart disease (DSCHD). A gene encoding a similar Ig-CAM protein is located on chromosome 11. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2012]
Gene Name: DS Cell Adhesion Molecule

Locus: 21q22.2
DDX60L Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the DExD/H-box helicase family of proteins, a subset of the super family 2 helicases. Members of the DExD/H-box helicase family share a conserved functional core comprised of two RecA-like globular domains. These domains contain conserved motifs that mediate ATP binding, ATP hydrolysis, nucleic acid binding, and RNA unwinding. In addition to functions in RNA metabolism, members of this family are involved in anti-viral immunity and act as cytosolic sensors of viral nucleic acids. The protein encoded by this gene has been shown to inhibit hepatitis C virus replication in response to interferon stimulation in cell culture. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]
Gene Name: DExD/H-box 60 Like
