DDX46-CDC25C Fusion FISH Probe
The DDX46-CDC25C Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DDX46 and CDC25C genes. The fusion of the DDX46 and CDC25C genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CDC25C Gene Summary
This gene encodes a conserved protein that plays a key role in the regulation of cell division. The encoded protein directs dephosphorylation of cyclin B-bound CDC2 and triggers entry into mitosis. It also suppresses p53-induced growth arrest. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
Gene Name: Cell Division Cycle 25C
Chromosome: CHR5: 137620958 -137667516
Locus: 5q31.2
DDX46 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the DEAD box protein family. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. The protein encoded by this gene is a component of the 17S U2 snRNP complex; it plays an important role in pre-mRNA splicing. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Gene Name: DEAD-box Helicase 46
Chromosome: CHR5: 134094460 -134166812
