DDX42-BRIP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The DDX42-BRIP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DDX42 and BRIP1 genes. The fusion of the DDX42 and BRIP1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

Members of this protein family are putative RNA helicases, and are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division.
