DCAF4-IFT140 Fusion FISH Probe
The DCAF4-IFT140 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the DCAF4 and IFT140 genes. The fusion of the DCAF4 and IFT140 genes has been associated with Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

IFT140 Gene Summary
This gene encodes one of the subunits of the intraflagellar transport (IFT) complex A. Intraflagellar transport is involved in the genesis, resorption and signaling of primary cilia. The primary cilium is a microtubule-based sensory organelle at the surface of most quiescent mammalian cells, that receives signals from its environment, such as the flow of fluid, light or odors, and transduces those signals to the nucleus. Loss of the corresponding protein in mouse results in renal cystic disease. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]
Gene Name: Intraflagellar Transport 140
Chromosome: CHR16: 1560427 -1662109
Locus: 16p13.3
DCAF4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a WD repeat-containing protein that interacts with the Cul4-Ddb1 E3 ligase macromolecular complex. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2009]
Gene Name: DDB1 And CUL4 Associated Factor 4
Chromosome: CHR14: 73393039 -73426357
Locus: 14q24.2
