CSRP1-PALLD Fusion FISH Probe
The CSRP1-PALLD Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CSRP1 and PALLD genes. The fusion of the CSRP1 and PALLD genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CSRP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the cysteine-rich protein (CSRP) family. This gene family includes a group of LIM domain proteins, which may be involved in regulatory processes important for development and cellular differentiation. The LIM/double zinc-finger motif found in this gene product occurs in proteins with critical functions in gene regulation, cell growth, and somatic differentiation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]
Gene Name: Cysteine And Glycine Rich Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 201452657 -201476387
Locus: 1q32.1
PALLD Gene Summary
This gene encodes a cytoskeletal protein that is required for organizing the actin cytoskeleton. The protein is a component of actin-containing microfilaments, and it is involved in the control of cell shape, adhesion, and contraction. Polymorphisms in this gene are associated with a susceptibility to pancreatic cancer type 1, and also with a risk for myocardial infarction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]
Gene Name: Palladin, Cytoskeletal Associated Protein
Chromosome: CHR4: 169418216 -169849608
Locus: 4q32.3
