CSMD2-DNAH14 Fusion FISH Probe
The CSMD2-DNAH14 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CSMD2 and DNAH14 genes. The fusion of the CSMD2 and DNAH14 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CSMD2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is thought to be involved in the control of complement. Defects in this gene have been associated with schizophrenia. This gene may act as a tumor suppressor for colorectal cancer. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017]
Gene Name: CUB And Sushi Multiple Domains 2
Chromosome: CHR1: 33979608 -34631443
Locus: 1p35.1
DNAH14 Gene Summary
Dyneins are microtubule-associated motor protein complexes composed of several heavy, light, and intermediate chains. Two major classes of dyneins, axonemal and cytoplasmic, have been identified. DNAH14 is an axonemal dynein heavy chain (DHC) (Vaughan et al., 1996 [PubMed 8812413]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Gene Name: Dynein Axonemal Heavy Chain 14
Chromosome: CHR1: 225117355 -225586996
Locus: 1q42.12
