CS-DGKD Fusion FISH Probe
The CS-DGKD Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CS and DGKD genes. The fusion of the CS and DGKD genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CS Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a Krebs tricarboxylic acid cycle enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of citrate from oxaloacetate and acetyl coenzyme A. The enzyme is found in nearly all cells capable of oxidative metablism. This protein is nuclear encoded and transported into the mitochondrial matrix, where the mature form is found. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Citrate Synthase
Chromosome: CHR12: 56665482 -56694175
Locus: 12q13.3
DGKD Gene Summary
This gene encodes a cytoplasmic enzyme that phosphorylates diacylglycerol to produce phosphatidic acid. Diacylglycerol and phosphatidic acid are two lipids that act as second messengers in signaling cascades. Their cellular concentrations are regulated by the encoded protein, and so it is thought to play an important role in cellular signal transduction. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Diacylglycerol Kinase Delta
Chromosome: CHR2: 234263152 -234380743
Locus: 2q37.1
