CRLS1-NFX1 Fusion FISH Probe
The CRLS1-NFX1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CRLS1 and NFX1 genes. The fusion of the CRLS1 and NFX1 genes has been associated with Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NFX1 Gene Summary
MHC class II gene expression is controlled primarily at the transcriptional level by transcription factors that bind to the X and Y boxes, two highly conserved elements in the proximal promoter of MHC class II genes. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional repressor capable of binding to the conserved X box motif of HLA-DRA and other MHC class II genes in vitro. The protein may play a role in regulating the duration of an inflammatory response by limiting the period in which class II MHC molecules are induced by IFN-gamma. Three alternative splice variants, each of which encodes a different isoform, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Nuclear Transcription Factor, X-box Binding 1
Chromosome: CHR9: 33290417 -33371155
Locus: 9p13.3
CRLS1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the CDP-alcohol phosphatidyltransferase class-I family of proteins. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the synthesis of cardiolipin, a phospholipid component of mitochondrial membranes that is critical for mitochondrial function. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2016]
Gene Name: Cardiolipin Synthase 1
Chromosome: CHR20: 5986738 -6020697
Locus: 20p12.3
