CRKL-HPS4 Fusion FISH Probe
The CRKL-HPS4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CRKL and HPS4 genes. The fusion of the CRKL and HPS4 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CRKL Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein kinase containing SH2 and SH3 (src homology) domains which has been shown to activate the RAS and JUN kinase signaling pathways and transform fibroblasts in a RAS-dependent fashion. It is a substrate of the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase, plays a role in fibroblast transformation by BCR-ABL, and may be oncogenic.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]
Gene Name: CRK Like Proto-oncogene, Adaptor Protein
Chromosome: CHR22: 21271713 -21308037
Locus: 22q11.21
HPS4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein component of biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complexes (BLOC). BLOC complexes are important for the formation of endosomal-lysosomal organelles such as melanosomes and platelet dense granules. Mutations in this gene result in subtype 4 of Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome, a form of albinism. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]
Gene Name: HPS4, Biogenesis Of Lysosomal Organelles Complex 3 Subunit 2
