CPSF6-CCNL2 Fusion FISH Probe
The CPSF6-CCNL2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CPSF6 and CCNL2 genes. The fusion of the CPSF6 and CCNL2 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CPSF6 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is one subunit of a cleavage factor required for 3' RNA cleavage and polyadenylation processing. The interaction of the protein with the RNA is one of the earliest steps in the assembly of the 3' end processing complex and facilitates the recruitment of other processing factors. The cleavage factor complex is composed of four polypeptides. This gene encodes the 68kD subunit. It has a domain organization reminiscent of spliceosomal proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Cleavage And Polyadenylation Specific Factor 6
Chromosome: CHR12: 69633316 -69668138
Locus: 12q15
CCNL2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the cyclin family. Through its interaction with several proteins, such as RNA polymerase II, splicing factors, and cyclin-dependent kinases, this protein functions as a regulator of the pre-mRNA splicing process, as well as in inducing apoptosis by modulating the expression of apoptotic and antiapoptotic proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
