CPAMD8-SKAP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The CPAMD8-SKAP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CPAMD8 and SKAP1 genes. The fusion of the CPAMD8 and SKAP1 genes has been associated with Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Endocervical Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

SKAP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a T cell adaptor protein, a class of intracellular molecules with modular domains capable of recruiting additional proteins but that exhibit no intrinsic enzymatic activity. The encoded protein contains a unique N-terminal region followed by a PH domain and C-terminal SH3 domain. Along with the adhesion and degranulation-promoting adaptor protein, the encoded protein plays a critical role in inside-out signaling by coupling T-cell antigen receptor stimulation to the activation of integrins. Gene Name: Src Kinase Associated Phosphoprotein 1
Chromosome: CHR17: 46210801 -46507594
Locus: 17q21.32
CPAMD8 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the protease inhibitor I39 (alpha-2-macroglobulin) family of proteins. These proteins are important in innate and acquired immunity. The encoded protein is membrane-associated and proteolytically processed to generate two chains. Mutations in this gene cause a form of anterior segment dysgenesis, a developmental disorder of the eye. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]
Gene Name: C3 And PZP Like, Alpha-2-macroglobulin Domain Containing 8
Chromosome: CHR19: 17003761 -17137625
Locus: 19p13.11
