COL4A2-NUBPL Fusion FISH Probe
The COL4A2-NUBPL Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the COL4A2 and NUBPL genes. The fusion of the COL4A2 and NUBPL genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

COL4A2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes one of the six subunits of type IV collagen, the major structural component of basement membranes. The C-terminal portion of the protein, known as canstatin, is an inhibitor of angiogenesis and tumor growth. Like the other members of the type IV collagen gene family, this gene is organized in a head-to-head conformation with another type IV collagen gene so that each gene pair shares a common promoter. Gene Name: Collagen Type IV Alpha 2 Chain
Chromosome: CHR13: 110959630 -111165373
Locus: 13q34
NUBPL Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the Mrp/NBP35 ATP-binding proteins family. The encoded protein is required for the assembly of the respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (complex I), an oligomeric enzymatic complex located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Mutations in this gene cause mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]
Gene Name: Nucleotide Binding Protein Like
Chromosome: CHR14: 32030590 -32330429
Locus: 14q12
