COL4A2-EEA1 Fusion FISH Probe
The COL4A2-EEA1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the COL4A2 and EEA1 genes. The fusion of the COL4A2 and EEA1 genes has been associated with Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

COL4A2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes one of the six subunits of type IV collagen, the major structural component of basement membranes. The C-terminal portion of the protein, known as canstatin, is an inhibitor of angiogenesis and tumor growth. Like the other members of the type IV collagen gene family, this gene is organized in a head-to-head conformation with another type IV collagen gene so that each gene pair shares a common promoter.
