CMTM8-NR1D2 Fusion FISH Probe
The CMTM8-NR1D2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CMTM8 and NR1D2 genes. The fusion of the CMTM8 and NR1D2 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NR1D2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the nuclear hormone receptor family, specifically the NR1 subfamily of receptors. The encoded protein functions as a transcriptional repressor and may play a role in circadian rhythms and carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]
Gene Name: Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 1 Group D Member 2
Chromosome: CHR3: 23986750 -24022109
Locus: 3p24.2
CMTM8 Gene Summary
This gene belongs to the chemokine-like factor gene superfamily, a novel family that is similar to the chemokine and the transmembrane 4 superfamilies. This gene is one of several chemokine-like factor genes located in a cluster on chromosome 3. This gene acts as a tumor suppressor, and plays a role in regulating the migration of tumor cells. The encoded protein is thought to function as a a negative regulator of epidermal growth factor-induced signaling. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Name: CKLF Like MARVEL Transmembrane Domain Containing 8
Chromosome: CHR3: 32280170 -32411813
Locus: 3p22.3
