CLTC-ETV4 Fusion FISH Probe
The CLTC-ETV4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CLTC and ETV4 genes. The fusion of the CLTC and ETV4 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CLTC Gene Summary
Clathrin is a major protein component of the cytoplasmic face of intracellular organelles, called coated vesicles and coated pits. These specialized organelles are involved in the intracellular trafficking of receptors and endocytosis of a variety of macromolecules. The basic subunit of the clathrin coat is composed of three heavy chains and three light chains. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Clathrin Heavy Chain
Chromosome: CHR17: 57697049 -57774317
Locus: 17q23.1
ETV4 Gene Summary
The ETS Variant 4 (ETV4) gene is located on chr17 :41605210-41623762 at 17q21.31.
