CLPTM1-CYP2A7 Fusion FISH Probe
The CLPTM1-CYP2A7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CLPTM1 and CYP2A7 genes. The fusion of the CLPTM1 and CYP2A7 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CLPTM1 Gene Summary
The CLPTM1, Transmembrane Protein (CLPTM1) gene is located on chr19 :45457841-45496604 at 19q13.32.
Gene Name: CLPTM1, Transmembrane Protein
Chromosome: CHR19: 45457841 -45496604
Locus: 19q13.32
CYP2A7 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum; its substrate has not yet been determined. This gene, which produces two transcript variants, is part of a large cluster of cytochrome P450 genes from the CYP2A, CYP2B and CYP2F subfamilies on chromosome 19q. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Cytochrome P450 Family 2 Subfamily A Member 7
Chromosome: CHR19: 41381343 -41388657
Locus: 19q13.2
