CLIC6-ITSN1 Fusion FISH Probe
The CLIC6-ITSN1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CLIC6 and ITSN1 genes. The fusion of the CLIC6 and ITSN1 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ITSN1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic membrane-associated protein that indirectly coordinates endocytic membrane traffic with the actin assembly machinery. In addition, the encoded protein may regulate the formation of clathrin-coated vesicles and could be involved in synaptic vesicle recycling. This protein has been shown to interact with dynamin, CDC42, SNAP23, SNAP25, SPIN90, EPS15, EPN1, EPN2, and STN2. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, but the full-length nature of only two of them have been characterized so far. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Intersectin 1
Chromosome: CHR21: 35014783 -35261609
Locus: 21q22.11
CLIC6 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the chloride intracellular channel family of proteins. The gene is part of a large triplicated region found on chromosomes 1, 6, and 21. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]
Gene Name: Chloride Intracellular Channel 6
Chromosome: CHR21: 36041687 -36090519
Locus: 21q22.12
