CLIC4-GRHL3 Fusion FISH Probe
The CLIC4-GRHL3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CLIC4 and GRHL3 genes. The fusion of the CLIC4 and GRHL3 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CLIC4 Gene Summary
Chloride channels are a diverse group of proteins that regulate fundamental cellular processes including stabilization of cell membrane potential, transepithelial transport, maintenance of intracellular pH, and regulation of cell volume. Chloride intracellular channel 4 (CLIC4) protein, encoded by the CLIC4 gene, is a member of the p64 family; the gene is expressed in many tissues and exhibits a intracellular vesicular pattern in Panc-1 cells (pancreatic cancer cells). Gene Name: Chloride Intracellular Channel 4
Chromosome: CHR1: 25071759 -25170815
Locus: 1p36.11
GRHL3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the grainyhead family of transcription factors. The encoded protein may function as a transcription factor during development, and has been shown to stimulate migration of endothelial cells. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]
Gene Name: Grainyhead Like Transcription Factor 3
Chromosome: CHR1: 24645811 -24690970
Locus: 1p36.11
