CIRBP-CNN2 Fusion FISH Probe
The CIRBP-CNN2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CIRBP and CNN2 genes. The fusion of the CIRBP and CNN2 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CIRBP Gene Summary
The Cold Inducible RNA Binding Protein (CIRBP) gene is located on chr19 :1269266-1274809 at 19p13.3.
Gene Name: Cold Inducible RNA Binding Protein
Chromosome: CHR19: 1269266 -1274809
Locus: 19p13.3
CNN2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene, which can bind actin, calmodulin, troponin C, and tropomyosin, may function in the structural organization of actin filaments. The encoded protein could play a role in smooth muscle contraction and cell adhesion. Several pseudogenes of this gene have been identified, and are present on chromosomes 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 21 and 22. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2015]
Gene Name: Calponin 2
Chromosome: CHR19: 1026297 -1039064
