CIDEB-ADCY4 Fusion FISH Probe
The CIDEB-ADCY4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CIDEB and ADCY4 genes. The fusion of the CIDEB and ADCY4 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CIDEB Gene Summary
The Cell Death-inducing DFFA-like Effector B (CIDEB) gene is located on chr14 :24774392-24780576 at 14q12.
Gene Name: Cell Death-inducing DFFA-like Effector B
Chromosome: CHR14: 24774392 -24780576
Locus: 14q12
ADCY4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the family of adenylate cyclases, which are membrane-associated enzymes that catalyze the formation of the secondary messenger cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). Mouse studies show that adenylate cyclase 4, along with adenylate cyclases 2 and 3, is expressed in olfactory cilia, suggesting that several different adenylate cyclases may couple to olfactory receptors and that there may be multiple receptor-mediated mechanisms for the generation of cAMP signals. Alternative splicing results in transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]
Gene Name: Adenylate Cyclase 4
