CHTF8-TBC1D22A Fusion FISH Probe

The CHTF8-TBC1D22A Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CHTF8 and TBC1D22A genes. The fusion of the CHTF8 and TBC1D22A genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

TBC1D22A Gene Summary

The TBC1 Domain Family Member 22A (TBC1D22A) gene is located on chr22 :47158517-47571342 at 22q13.31.

Gene Name: TBC1 Domain Family Member 22A

Chromosome: CHR22: 47158517 -47571342

Locus: 22q13.31

CHTF8 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a short protein that forms part of the Ctf18 replication factor C (RFC) complex that occurs in both yeast and mammals. The heteroheptameric RFC complex plays a role in sister chromatid cohesion and may load the replication clamp PCNA (proliferating cell nuclear antigen) onto DNA during DNA replication and repair. This gene is ubiquitously expressed and has been shown to have reduced expression in renal and prostate tumors. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome X. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]

Gene Name: Chromosome Transmission Fidelity Factor 8

Chromosome: CHR16: 69151911 -69166493

Locus: 16q22.1
