CHIC1-CDX4 Fusion FISH Probe
The CHIC1-CDX4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the CHIC1 and CDX4 genes. The fusion of the CHIC1 and CDX4 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CDX4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of a small subfamily of homeobox containing transcription factors. The encoded protein may regulate homeobox gene expression during anteroposterior patterning and hematopoiesis. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]
Gene Name: Caudal Type Homeobox 4
Chromosome: CHRX: 72667089 -72674421
Locus: Xq13.2
CHIC1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a cysteine-rich hydrophobic (CHIC) domain-containing protein, and is one of the few protein-coding genes found near the X-inactivation center. Studies in mouse indicate that the mouse ortholog of this gene is subject to X-inactivation in mouse. Experiments with other CHIC domain-containing family members show that the cysteine residues are palmitoylated post-translationally, resulting in membrane association. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]
Gene Name: Cysteine Rich Hydrophobic Domain 1
Chromosome: CHRX: 72782983 -72906937
Locus: Xq13.2
